Engineering the Tools of Physical Discovery.
Rheovant is an applied-science engineering studio operating at the nexus of materials chemistry, precision embedded hardware, and scientific software. We design accessible laboratory instrumentation, pioneer continuous-flow synthesis methodologies, and engineer computational platforms that eliminate bottlenecks in physical science research.
Cyclic Voltammetric Kinetic Deconvoluter
Differentiating surface pseudocapacitive charge storage from diffusion-limited intercalation: i(V) = k₁v + k₂v^(1/2)
At higher scan rates (50 mV/s), diffusion into crystal bulk is kinetically constrained, elevating surface pseudocapacitance dominance to 35%.
Direct implementation of Dunn's method protocol running on the Rheovant Electrochemistry Workbench.
Engineering Portfolio & Dossiers
Verifiable hardware blueprints, continuous-flow synthesis reactors, and computational software deployed in real physical laboratories.
Rheovant GS-350 (TriStat CC)
A dedicated three-channel constant-current source engineered to overcome the potential-only constraint of conventional potentiostats (such as the lab's EmStat3+). Developed for reproducible electrodeposition, continuous supercapacitor cycling, and galvanostatic synthesis.
Engineering Highlights
- ›Eliminates potential drift during multi-electrode electrodeposition batches
- ›Independent channel regulation prevents cross-talk in shared electrolyte baths
- ›Hardware-validated against precision multimeter calibration arrays
Technical Specifications Matrix
4-Electrode AC Salinity & Conductivity Sensor
Precision liquid electrical conductivity front-end with a four-electrode graphite geometry. Generates symmetrical 1–5 kHz AC excitation to eradicate electrode polarization, double-layer capacitance errors, and electrochemical degradation.
Rheovant Stat V1 (Cycler Core)
A modular open-hardware potentiostat and galvanostatic cycler core. Designed as an affordable companion to commercial instruments for automated cyclic voltammetry sweeps and continuous galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling.
Continuous-Flow MOF Synthesis (Ni-BDC & Cu-BDC)
Translation of conventional batch solvothermal Metal-Organic Framework synthesis into millifluidic and continuous tubular flow reactors. Enables precise residence time distributions, ultra-uniform crystal nucleation, and high-yield MOF nanosheets for energy storage.
Photothermal & LSPR Flow Intensification
Integrating Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) nanomaterials into continuous-flow microfluidics. Light-to-heat nanoscopic conversion generates localized heat zones at the fluid-nanoparticle interface, slashing thermal inertia and energy requirements.
Electrochemical Kinetics & Dunn's Method Deconvolution
Mathematical decomposition of sweep rate-dependent Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) data. Solves i(V) = k₁v + k₂v^(1/2) to differentiate fast surface pseudocapacitive charge storage from slow diffusion-controlled intercalation.
Rheovant Electrochemistry Workbench
A cross-platform software suite built specifically for electrochemists. Ingests raw exports from commercial potentiostats, executes baseline correction, automates peak finding, and computes Dunn's deconvolution with publication-ready export.
RheoFlow DAQ & Process Control
Firmware and telemetry bridge designed for continuous chemical reactors. Coordinates dual-syringe stepper drives, monitors in-line pressure and temperature sensors, and logs real-time fluidic behavior.
Pantheon Multi-Agent Infrastructure
Distributed multi-agent orchestration substrate connecting Athena (strategist on local host) and Hephaestus (builder & DevOps on Forge). Governs continuous deployment, knowledge indexing, and hardware bench coordination.
AP-Lab Suite & KUGU Lab Companion
Containerized web platforms deployed for laboratory operations. Powers student practicum management, reagent inventory, equipment calibration logging, and research documentation.
Zero-Trust Laboratory Mesh Infrastructure
Encrypted internal networking substrate connecting laboratory bench devices (Argos), cloud compute engines (Forge), and public gateways into a unified, secure 10.66.66.0/24 subnet.
Gerald Arya Dewangga, S.Si.
Gerald Arya Dewangga is an applied materials chemist, instrumentation engineer, and systems developer. His graduate research at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) explores the continuous-flow synthesis of Metal-Organic Frameworks (Ni-BDC, Cu-BDC), localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) photothermal process intensification, and electrochemical charge storage kinetics.
Recognizing that physical scientific discovery is continually hindered by exorbitantly priced, black-box laboratory instruments, Gerald founded Rheovant. The venture bridges the chasm between molecular synthesis and hardware engineering—constructing custom galvanostatic controllers, AC impedance front-ends, and reproducible analytical software from first principles.
“True capability is never simply purchased off the shelf; it is understood, designed, calibrated, and built.”
